The richness of taste and composition of the Esterhazy cake is the epitome of wealth and luxury of an aristocratic family whose members served for the benefit of Austria. The basis of Esterhazys authenticity is almonds, so we use only almond flour to make cakes. Almond flour and walnut biscuits melting in the mouth are layered with a delicaite creamy custard, the almond flavor of which is given by the addition of Amaretto liqueur. The top of the cake is decorated with a gossamer pattern of Belgian chocolate, which is a distinctive feature of many cakes. Many pastry shops add only 10% of almond flour to Esterhazy, and the remaining 90% is replaced with wheat flour, since the cost of almond flour is 15 times more expensive than usual. Our cake contains 100% almond flour and not a gram of wheat flour.
